Our Story

Hi, I’m Stephanie Gould, the heart behind Good One Flowers. After years of growing flowers as a passion, I realized it was time to turn that love into something more. My journey took an inspiring turn when my daughter — now a senior at the University of Alabama — began exploring her own path. Encouraging her to follow her passion reminded me that it’s never too late to do the same — and here we are.

Good One Flowers was named by my husband, Mike. He originally dreamed of opening a brewery and calling it “Good One” — after all, how many times a day does someone say, “Have a good one”? While the brewery never came to life, I lovingly stole the name. Now, I hope that every time you hear those words, you’ll think of Good One Flowers and the beauty we aim to share.

This business is born from a simple belief: that beauty blooms when you follow your heart. Every stem, bouquet, and arrangement is crafted with care, inspired by years of hands-on gardening and a lifelong appreciation for nature’s elegance.

Dahlias have a special place in my heart — their vibrant colors and stunning forms are endlessly inspiring. I’m especially excited to continue exploring the art of dahlia hybridizing, working toward unique varieties that are just as joyful and unexpected as the journey that led me here.
